Common Pleco (Hypostomus plecostomus)

• Size: The Common Pleco is one of the most widely available and large plecos, reaching up to 24 inches (60 cm) or more in length when fully grown. Some even grow larger in spacious tanks.
• Algae Eating: This pleco is a fantastic algae eater, known for consuming a variety of algae types, including brown algae, green algae, and hair algae.
• Behavior: While peaceful, the Common Pleco can get quite territorial in smaller tanks and will need plenty of space to swim and establish its own territory. It's best kept in tanks of at least 75 gallons (300 liters) due to its large size.
• Care: Requires regular water changes and a varied diet, including sinking pellets and occasional fresh vegetables like zucchini and cucumber
